Producers from Twofour Productions - which makes programmes such as Channel 4's The City Gardener - have already spent a day filming at The Mitchell Hill Clinic, Truro for a new Discovery Health Channel series 'Silicone Chicks' which will be screened early next year.
Focus of the filming was The Mitchell Hill Clinic's Paul Adkins, who believes the programme will help people understand that there are methods of facial cosmetic treatments that do not rely on people going under the surgeon's knife.
"Cosmetic surgery is becoming increasingly popular and the series will look at a whole range of different cosmetic surgery techniques."
"We were delighted to be chosen to appear in the programme as it gives us an opportunity to show that there are alternatives to actual surgery. By treating the patient through a combination of facial acupuncture and traditional acupuncture, you can make a positive difference to the way a person looks and feels," said Paul.
Paul's patient on the day was Joan Bose, who owns Vitreous Contemporary Art Gallery, in Truro who said she was only too happy to appear in front of the cameras.
"I was honoured when Paul asked if I would take part in the filming. I've had several treatments of Facial Acupuncture and I have really noticed the difference. If anyone is considering Facial Cosmetic surgery I would certainly recommend they try this form of treatment first," said Joan.
Twofour Productions will be returning to the clinic in a few weeks to finalise filming once the course of Facial Acupuncture treatment is complete.
